Andrew, D2AK will be active from Luanda, the capital of the Republic of Angola, commencing 7th May 2010 for the next 12 months.
I will be active almost every day using SSB and CW on all bands including WARC frequencies from 80 to 10 metres.
Working conditions will be very simple, consisting of 100 watts PEP from an Icom IC 7000, MFJ 929 Auto ATU, switch mode power supply and Vibroplex mini straight key. The antenna will be resonant Inverted Vee and a homebrew multi-band vertical consisting of a 10 metre length of wire terminated into a 4:1 unun. However it is my intention at a later date to install better antennae when possible.
